Darwin Germany Community Hosts Inaugural German Christmas Market
“Kleiner Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt”

Sunday, 13 December 2020, 9am – 7pm
During the worldwide pandemic Christmas Markets in Germany and all over the world have been cancelled - but here in Darwin the German Community is bringing this beautiful tradition to the tropics for the first time ever.
Bringing a winter Christmas tradition to Darwin in the build-up is no small feat - but thankfully there is one wintery location available in the Top End - the Darwin Ice Skating Centre! Imagine the snow on the ice, Christmas music, the smell of Gluehwein (mulled wine), German Christmas cookies, German arts & craft, ice skating performance, Nikolaus (Santa) appearance and - of course - ice skating! Get ready to book your ticket, dust off your winter boots and beanies and escape to the German Winter Wonderland for a day.
The small community event will be co-hosted by the Darwin Ice Skating Centre on Sunday, 13th December from 9am-7pm.
Tickets are available for ice skating and the Christmas market, with also family tickets been available.
Booking is essential and tickets are limited to two hours sessions.
