The Indonesian Teachers Gathering: Angklung Workshop was a great success, supported by the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Darwin and bringing together Indonesian and language teachers for an engaging cultural experience. Participants enjoyed hands-on learning, meaningful networking, and practical ideas for enriching intercultural language teaching through music and collaboration.

The LTANT 2026 Annual Conference focused on assessment to inform teaching and enhance learning in Languages education, aligned with AITSL Standards. More than half of LTANT member language teachers attended, contributing to a highly successful event. Through a keynote address and professional workshops, participants explored curriculum planning, effective assessment practices, feedback, moderation, and evidence collection.
Sessions highlighted research on second language learning and literacy outcomes, innovative assessment approaches, ACARA work samples, SACE language renewal, and Language Fest preparation. The conference provided practical strategies to support consistent and meaningful assessment, strengthen teacher capability, and improve student engagement. Participants gained valuable insights and tools to enhance classroom practice and advocate for Languages as an essential component of student learning.
