LTANT is proud to announce that registration to the 2024 LTANT Conference: Transformative Technology in Language Classrooms Today! is now live.

For NT Language Teachers, who are not LTANT members, there is also the opportunity to attend the conference for a fee, which is stated within the conference registration page.
The program is jam packed with interesting technology sessions from a range of platforms and perspectives. Please register before Thursday 17 October.
Outstanding Languages Educator Award
Do you know of any outstanding language teachers in your school/ institution? Why not nominate them for an Outstanding Languages Educator Award for 2024?
The Language Teachers' Association of the NT would like to recognise the amazing work language teachers do.
To be nominated:
-
The teacher must currently be teaching a language other than English; and
-
The teacher must be a member of LTANT or part of an institution's LTANT membership.
An outstanding language educator could be someone who demonstrates one or all of the following:
-
Uses a range of engaging teaching strategies
-
Has lessons that are innovative
-
Willingly supports other language teachers
-
Connects languages to the broader school community- outside the classroom.
-
Makes languages visible in their school and beyond.
Send your nomination/s to LTANTCONNECT@gmail.com by 18 October - include the teacher's name, the language taught, and why they should be considered as being an outstanding languages educator.
Winners will be announced at the LTANT 2024 Annual Conference.
About LTANT
The Language Teachers Association of the Northern Territory is a professional teachers association for Language teachers. LTANT aims to promote importance of language education in schools, including Indigenous and community languages. LTANT promotes communication and cooperation between languages teachers and facilitates study and research on language teaching pedagogy and community engagement.
The Objectives of LTANT

To promote the teaching and learning of languages

To provide opportunities to strengthen networks and professional identity through moderation, collaboration and sharing of ideas.

To seek improvement of the curriculum by advocating and cooperating with relevant institutions.
